Contemporary Religious Discourse between the Constants of Religious Reference and the Prospects for Renewal
Keywords:
Religious discourse; religious reference; renewal; prospects for renewal.Abstract
This research addresses the issue of contemporary religious discourse in light of the rapid intellectual, social, cultural, and technological transformations, by examining the relationship between the constants of religious reference and the requirements of renewal, viewing this relationship as one of integration and interaction rather than conflict or rupture.
The study begins by distinguishing between the immutable principles of religion and religious discourse, which is subject to change and revision in accordance with the requirements of time and place. It also identifies the most prominent manifestations of the crisis of contemporary religious discourse and explores the prospects for renewal in ways that enable religious discourse to preserve the authenticity of its religious reference while responding to the requirements of the contemporary era.
