The impact of social media on interpersonal relationships has become a focal point of sociological inquiry in contemporary society. social media platforms influence the dynamics, quality, and perceptions of interpersonal relationships from a sociological perspective. the transformation of communication patterns, social interactions, and the formation of online communities. the potential benefits of enhanced connectivity and the dissemination of information, alongside challenges such as privacy concerns, cyberbullying, and the blurring of online and offline identities. Moreover the implications of social media use on social norms, trust, and intimacy within interpersonal relationships. It highlights the evolving nature of friendship, family dynamics, and romantic relationships in the digital age, influenced by virtual interactions and mediated communication.
