The Poetics of Interactive Digital Novel: Between Presence and Reception

There is no doubt that technology has imposed its logic, expanded its influence, and tightened its grip on our lives. It is no longer separate from our possessions, and literature is one of the fields that the digital world has invaded, leaving clear marks that have prompted critics and researchers to reconsider many concepts and terms related to literary theory as a whole. This trend has become an undeniable reality.
Electronic media has replaced print media, and these media possess advanced technologies that creative writers have employed in many of their works. Cyberspace has facilitated the reception and documentation of a wide range of creative works, as well as attracting a vast audience that has flocked to it, captivated and enthusiastic about this new world. This space has opened up vast horizons for them, not only to receive these literary texts, but also to actively participate in them—that is, to become creators themselves.
