Cultural diversity is a defining feature of contemporary societies, shaped by globalization, migration, and social transformation. It refers to the coexistence of diverse cultural groups with distinct beliefs, values, traditions, and identities. While cultural diversity enriches societies by promoting creativity, innovation, and mutual understanding, it also presents challenges related to social cohesion, identity conflicts, and inequality. This paper examines the relationship between cultural diversity and social harmony, focusing on both the opportunities it creates and the challenges it poses. It explores the role of social institutions, policies, and intercultural dialogue in fostering inclusive and peaceful societies. The study argues that social harmony can be achieved not by eliminating differences but by embracing diversity through tolerance, respect, and effective governance.
