Abstract

Healthcare accessibility is an essential factor in ensuring public health, social welfare, and overall quality of life. In many countries, significant differences exist between rural and urban areas regarding the availability, affordability, and quality of healthcare services. Urban regions often have better healthcare infrastructure, advanced medical technology, specialized hospitals, and a greater number of healthcare professionals, while rural areas frequently face shortages of medical facilities, trained healthcare workers, transportation, and essential medicines. These inequalities create serious challenges for people living in remote and underdeveloped regions, affecting their ability to receive timely and proper medical care. healthcare accessibility in rural and urban areas and analyzes the major factors responsible for healthcare disparities. It highlights issues such as inadequate healthcare infrastructure, poverty, lack of awareness, poor transportation systems, and unequal distribution of healthcare resources. The study also discusses the impact of healthcare inaccessibility on maternal and child health, disease prevention, emergency medical services, and management of communicable and non-communicable diseases.
