Abstract

As a field of study, astrology has long postulated that a person's personality traits are influenced by the alignment of the heavens at the time of their birth. A symbolic framework for understanding human behavior is provided by this. In contrast, modern conceptions of personality are based on scientific studies conducted in the discipline of psychology. A number of competing hypotheses have put forth explanations for personality based on quantifiable traits, biological components, and environmental factors. This article examines the Big Five personality traits through the lens of both modern psychology models and astrological theories of personality. analysis of the similarities and differences between scientifically validated frameworks of personality and astrological classifications, such as zodiac signs and the traits associated with them... As opposed to the intuitive and culturally based descriptions of human traits supplied by astrology, modern astrological theories prioritize dependability, validity, and predicted correctness. Generic trait descriptions are one area of agreement, but methodological rigor and empirical evidence are two key areas of disagreement. Astrological personality interpretations, cognitive biases, and the need for a consistent story about one's life are some of the other topics investigated in this study. The analysis covers all of these subjects. To this day, astrology has the same impact on people's self-perception and social interactions as more formal personality theories, even though it has never been proven scientifically.
