Abstract

"This study seeks to uncover the role of repetition in Abu al-Atahiya’s poem, (Born to die).' Repetition is well-known as a tool of lexical cohesion that establishes a semantic dimension between the three core textual elements: the sender, the receiver, and the message. Furthermore, it enhances the text's aesthetic structure and deepens its coherence. The active presence of this textual device in the poem has significantly reinforced both cohesion and coherence, thereby intensifying its semantic density and unifying the text into a cohesive whole.
