Abstract

This study examines the relationship between job burnout and organizational commitment among nurses at Bachir Ben Nasser Hospital in Biskra. Results reveal high normative and continuance commitment, with moderate affective commitment and moderate burnout levels. Notably, a positive correlation was found between burnout and affective commitment, challenging traditional theories. The study highlights the need for better psychological support and improved working conditions. Further research is recommended to explore the underlying factors shaping this unexpected relationship.
