Symbiose Et Dualité Identitaire Dans L'écriture d'Assia Djebar Essai De Lecture Croisée : Forme Autobiographique, Plurilinguisme Et Dialectique Axiologique

Abstract

This scholarly inquiry examines the dynamics of symbiosis and dual identity within the novelistic oeuvre of Assia Djebar. It traces the author’s scriptural evolution, from early works such as La Soif to her mature narratives like Nulle part dans la maison de mon père, through the prism of linguistic and cultural multiplicity. Grounded in a critical approach that encompasses sociological, psychological, and historical dimensions, this study explores how Djebarian writing carves out a space of self-assertion and resistance for Algerian women. Through the concept of "collective autobiography," the author conceals the narrator’s individual "I" in favor of a collective, female "we," thereby sublimating the transition from orality to the written word to shield intimacy from the voyeur’s gaze. Ultimately, the analysis demonstrates that cultural identity in Djebar’s work is by no means a static essence, but rather a dynamic process achieving a fertile endosmosis between deep roots in Arab-Islamic traditions and an openness to universal modernity.
