The Role of the Civil Harmony Law in Consolidating the Rules of Transitional Justice in Algeria

Abstract

In order to restore peace and security in Algeria, in what is called transitional justice, several laws and agreements have been adopted, the latest of which is the armistice agreement in 1997, which constitutes the basis for the Civil Harmony Law, which enshrined the principle of transitional justice, as the President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika raised the slogan of amnesty for the success of His endeavor to end the period of bloody conflict that lasted for ten years.
