Keywords:

This study examines the communicative and psychological dimensions associated with Algerian adolescents’ interactions on social media platforms amid the rapid digital transformations taking place worldwide. It proceeds from the premise that these platforms have become primary spaces for communication and the exchange of opinions, as well as important environments for the formation of attitudes and the development of social relationships among adolescents. The study analyzes digital interaction, examines adolescents’ attitudes toward the use of digital platforms, and identifies the motivations underlying that use. It also explores the extent to which these patterns are associated with psychological indicators such as self-esteem, psychological well-being, anxiety, and stress. The study employed a descriptive research design, which was considered the most appropriate for understanding the phenomenon under investigation. An attitude scale served as the primary instrument for collecting data from a sample of Algerian adolescents. The study sought to provide a comprehensive account of the relationship between intensive social media use and its potential psychological effects.
