The importance of psychological balance which is considered a pivotal factor in enhancing the adolescent student's ability to self-regulate within the school environment, given the emotional and social changes that adolescence witness, which affect behavior and academic adjustment, the school environment contributes to revealing the level of psychological stability through the students’ interaction with school rules, study pressure , and social relationships.
Psychological balance is considered a foundation that enables the student to control their emotions, regulate their behaviors, and make more rational decisions. Which positively affects his commitment to rules, his ability to delay gratification, control impulses and organize his study efforts. Literature indicates that psychological balance is not limited to the absence of disorders, but also includes self-management skills, social adjustment, and feelings of competence and psychological tranquility which are supportive elements for self-regulation. As the relationship between psychological balance and self-regulation is a reciprocal one that contributes to improving school adjustment and psychological well-being, which necessitates integrating guidance and educational programs to develop emotional skills and self-regulation and reduce impulsive behaviors within the school.
