Birth charts occupy an important position in astrology because they are used to provide individualized interpretations of personality, temperament, emotional tendencies, relationships, and perceived life patterns. Unlike simple zodiac-sign descriptions, a birth chart incorporates the date, time, and place of birth and presents symbolic information about the positions of celestial bodies. This paper examines the role of birth charts in astrological personality analysis, focusing on chart components, the Sun and Moon, planetary symbolism, houses, aspects, personality interpretation, self-reflection, digital birth-chart tools, and critical perspectives. Birth-chart interpretations can provide individuals with a detailed symbolic framework for describing perceived strengths, preferences, emotional patterns, and interpersonal tendencies. They may also encourage self-reflection and personal discussion. However, astrological personality analysis should be distinguished from scientifically validated psychological assessment. Personality develops through complex interactions among biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors, and celestial positions have not been established as reliable causes of personality. The paper therefore considers birth charts primarily as cultural and interpretive tools. A balanced perspective can recognize their continuing popularity and reflective significance while encouraging critical thinking and evidence-based approaches to formal personality assessment.
