This study examines the influence of global Western critical approaches on the critical works of Georges Tarabichi, spanning fifty years of scholarship and culminating in nine books dedicated to the criticism of narrative fiction. This half-century of critical output provides an insightful overview of the dynamics within contemporary Arab criticism, reflecting its continuous efforts to assimilate, receive, and adapt Western methodologies across three distinct stages. This specific phase produced two key works: *God in Naguib Mahfouz’s Symbolic Journey* and *The Game of Dream and Reality*, a period characterized primarily by methodological overlap and fragmentation.
