Astrology has historically been used as a system for interpreting human characteristics, life experiences, relationships, and behavioural tendencies through the symbolic association of celestial bodies with birth information. In contemporary society, astrology continues to attract interest as a framework for self-reflection and personality interpretation, particularly through zodiac signs, birth charts, planetary positions, and online astrology platforms. This paper examines the role of astrology in understanding human personality and behaviour, focusing on zodiac signs, birth charts, planetary symbolism, personality interpretation, self-reflection, social relationships, cultural influences, contemporary digital astrology, and the limitations of astrological explanations. Astrology may provide individuals with a language through which they describe personal characteristics, preferences, strengths, and perceived behavioural patterns. Its influence can also be understood as a cultural and psychological phenomenon rather than solely as a predictive system. At the same time, scientific personality research generally relies on empirically validated psychological models, and astrological claims should therefore be distinguished from evidence-based psychological assessment. The paper argues that astrology can be studied meaningfully as a cultural belief system and a tool for personal reflection, while interpretations should not be treated as scientifically established explanations of personality or behaviour.
